Hosting Your Event with Go Manitoba

GoManitoba is a free application for Manitobans to use to find ways to travel around without having to drive alone!
With GoManitoba, users and organizations can use the EVENTS function for conferences, workshops, parties and more. Help your guests to find carpool partners or transit/bike routes to your destination with a free, easy-to-use tool!
To get started, simply connect with the GoManitoba team by emailing gohappy@greenactioncentre.ca. Send your:
- Event name
- Date(s)
- Location
- Description (a paragraph or two about the event/organization)
- Website URL
- Whether your event is public (ex: a show or festival) or private (staff party).
You will receive back the URL and Widget for your event.

Once received, you will need to promote this travel option to your audience. You can do this by:
- Sending an email to your staff with an attached link (our team will send you a sample template)
- Posting the Widget code on your website, event page, and/or event invitation
- Promoting with printed posters, social media, and message boards within your organization
Remember, creating the tool to help reduce driving alone is just the first step. Ensuring your audience knows about the option, and has time to use it, is just as important!
Send your event details (up to a year in advance) to GoManitoba at gohappy@greenactioncentre.ca!
NOTE: It is free to use GoManitoba’s Event tool.
Thank you to our partners and funders for supporting GoManitoba! You can support GoManitoba by becoming a partner or subscriber, or by donating to Green Action Centre.

Protecting Mother Earth
Intended for First Nation classrooms, this presentation provides a basic understanding of Traditional Ecological Knowledge in relation to Indigenous worldviews – how we are connected with the planet and how we must find a harmonious balance with our environment for the sake of the next seven generations. This includes actions students can take at home, in school, or within their community. Examples will explore what other schools in First Nation communities around Manitoba are doing to reduce their impact on Mother Earth.
